Blended Program Supports Preschool Literacy

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

Teachscape has launched three new professional development series for pre-kindergarten educators and mentors, combining face to face and online learning programs that incorporate access to training content, reporting, and work management applications using Teachscape's Online Program Manager. The programs focus on developing skills for educators teaching literacy skills to preschoolers and fostering environments that promote language learning for principals, mentors, and other education supporters.

The three new Teachscape series include:

  • Early Childhood Series, which focuses on developing "language-rich environments" to provide stimulation to young learners and to support emerging literacy;
  • Supporting Emerging Literacy, which deals with strategies for the use of "effective read-alouds to introduce children to the richness of language" and to promote phonological awareness and letter and language concepts; and
  • Strategies for Mentors and Instructional Leaders, which is designed for principals, mentors, and other "teacher supporters" to help create environments that promote language learning for young children.

The programs provide access to a library of video case studies, publications, and research articles. Further information can be found at the link below.
