Tribrio Makes Online Test Creation Free

Education and training software developer Tribrio has launched a new site called TestDesigner.com that allows teachers to create tests free and browse through a library of subject-specific assessments created by other educators.

Tests on the site are organized by subject and grade level, from preK to graduate level. As of this writing, there were more than 3,400 pre-generated tests available of the site, more than 120 with images, covering subjects ranging from math, science, and language arts to business, sports, and technology.

For the creation of new tests, users can browse questions that other members have created and mash them up into new configurations or edit them to add them to a new test or group of questions that can be repurposed in future tests. Original questions can also be created. Questions can be rearranged once added to tests, and various formatting options can be applied. The site also provides tools for adding instructions to exams, sharing tests via e-mail (in addition to sharing them with the user community), printing the tests, and printing answer keys.

TestDesigner.com is a free online service, though registration is required. Test Designer Pro, a subscription service that provides a library of images to use in tests, is also available. Users of TestDesigner.com can sign up for a free six-month trial of Test Designer Pro. (Questions created using the Test Designer Pro service can be viewed by all but only edited or created by subscribers.)
