Calypso Updates Classroom A/V Bundle

##AUTHORSPLIT###- -->

Education technology developer Calypso Systems has launched the new ezRoom-5000, an updated bundle for managing and controlling classroom A/V systems.

The ezRoom-5000 is a packaged system that provides management, monitoring, and control technologies for A/V systems used in schools. It's compatible with all projectors and standard A/V equipment, according to the company. Some specific components of the system include hardware and software interfaces, integrated device control, remote monitoring tools, audio amplification, wall plates, projector mounting equipment, and various wires and cables.

In addition, the new system goes beyond the old ezRoom Classroom Bundle with the inclusion of new technologies that are designed to help schools save energy. These include Smart Block and Encore. Smart Block is a power management tool that can shut down low-voltage DC devices remotely at preset times. Encore is software that allows Windows-based systems to control devices remotely, including projector and computer shutdown.

The ezRoom-5000 is available now. Calypso has opened up applications for its Integrated Classroom Grant, which will provide $1,200 toward the purchase of the system. Further information can be found here. Grant application information can be found here.
