DimensionM Expands Math Content, Improves Reporting

Tabula Digita has launched a new version of its immersive multiplayer educational video game, DimensionM Multiplayer. The latest release, introduced this week, offers additional math resources, as well as enhanced reporting capabilities.

It offers a 3D environment in which players carry out missions (lessons) in multi-player tournament-style games. Players face mathematical obstacles, which, when solved, allow them to advance and score points.

According to developer Tabula Digita, the latest version includes more than 200 math skills in the curriculum packs for various grade levels, along with a new mission called TowerStorm. Other new features include:

  • Custom avatar creation;
  • New multimedia features;
  • Expanded reporting capabilities; and
  • A new "open curriculum" feature that lets students challenge each other even when they're working on different skills or when they're in different grades.

DimensionM Multiplayer 2.0 is is aligned with various state standards and correlates with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. It supports Mac OS X and Windows systems. Further information can be found here.
