Epson Ships Bright LCD HD Projector

Epson has started shipping its new 6,000-lumen 3LCD projector, the PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL. The high-light-output model offers a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 (WUXGA) and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio.

Epson said this is the company's brightest projector to date.

Other features include a liquid cooling system, a dual-lamp design, powered focus and zoom, and ±70 degree vertical and ±20 horizontal shift. In addition, the projector can be installed ±30 degrees off axis horizontally and ±10 degrees off axis vertically.

Six lens options are available, including a rear-projection lens. The Z8000WUNL can connect to the LAN and to Epson's monitoring and control software.

The PowerLite Pro Z8000WUNL is available for $20,499.
