San Jose, CA-based application provider Splashtop has added 30 new digital flipchart worksheets to its latest release of Splashtop Whiteboard, on display now at the Florida Education Technology Conference (FETC) in Orlando.

The Splashtop Whiteboard app, which is built on the Splashtop Remote Desktop, works by converting an iPad into an interactive whiteboard. Uses of the app include allowing educators to present Flash media, synchronize audio and video, and annotate lesson materials.

With the app, teachers are able to present material from anywhere in the classroom and control Mac or PC applications, such as PowerPoint or Keynote, remotely.

Other features of the app include:

  • Taking and saving screen captures, either for archived use or to be emailed to students;
  • Hi-definition playback of audio and sound files;
  • Compatibility with Adobe Flash resources; and
  • Automatic syncing.

Splashtop is currently offering free styluses to all buyers in Apple's App Store Volume Purchase Program (VPP) and is partnering with SuperTeacherWorksheets.com to offer the 30 new digital worksheets.

The worksheets cover the subjects of math, science, and geography and are being offered to teachers for use with Splashtop's digital flipchart tool.
Splashtop Whiteboard is available for $19.99 from the Apple App Store and under Apple VPP.
