Schoology Adds IMS LTI Compliant Integration

Schoology has added IMS LTI v1.1 compliant integration to its learning management system. The integration means that users can now access and view external resources through the platform.

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is a sign-on standard from IMS Global Learning Consortium that enables tools and resources from LTI-compliant vendors to be integrated into an LMS.

The LTI integration comes on the heels of the company's SIS integration platform which launched in January. The integration enables users to share educator-developed resources through its Public Resource Repository.

"We are really excited to support LTI," says Schoology CEO Jeremy Friedman, in a company statement. "Educators deserve more access to high quality content in a more tightly integrated instructional experience, and this is another step for us in making that happen."
