Texas Fine Arts Charter School Enterprise Resource Planning

To cut costs, save time, and streamline operations The Rhodes School, a Houston, TX fine arts magnet charter school, will implement an integrated, cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to manage its business and student operations.

For the project the charter school signed an agreement with Prologic Technology to upgrade to Prologic's TEAMS (Total Education Administrative Management Solution) ERP system.

Designed specifically for K-12 districts and schools, the TEAMS business and student information system bundles financial and student information into a single, centralized database that can be shared in real-time between teachers, students, administrators, and parents.

The cloud-based TEAMS system uses the software as a service (SaaS) model to provide continuous backup of data for more streamlined business continuity. Using the student information module, teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents will be able to access and retrieve data from any device, including information about enrollment, attendance, grading, textbooks, demographics, transcripts, disciplinary issues, and special programs.

The TEAMS business module provides operational controls for accounts payable and receivable, cash management tasks, procurement, budgeting, bank reconciliation, budgeting, grants,  vendor management, account number maintenance, and general ledger and journal entries.

"We chose TEAMS, not because it is a cloud solution, but because it will give us enhanced functionality and a more fully integrated system," said Michelle L. Bonton, The Rhodes School principal, in a prepared statement. "Prologic had both the technology and the support system in place that we were looking for."

The Rhodes School, founded in 2007, provides a classical, arts-based education to approximately 700 students in pre-K through 6th grade. For more information, visit rhodesschool.org.
