Triumph Learning Launches Waggle for Smarter Balanced

WaggleTriumph Learning has launched a version of its personalized learning platform Waggle that includes item types that will appear on the Smarter Balance Assessment Consortium assessments. The subscription-based Waggle now includes 26 new item types, including Part A and Part B problems and performance tasks.

According to the company, the upgraded Waggle is designed to help Smarter Balanced states gain a greater understanding of Common Core State Standards and assessments, and to give students practice and instruction that will help them develop their critical thinking skills.

To deliver its new content, Triumph Learning has partnered with Learnosity, which offers tools and services that incorporate interactive assessment into digital products. Gavin Cooney, co-founder and CEO of Learnosity, said, “By using the Learnosity tools and services, Triumph Learning is able to provide Common Core Coach content in an even wider variety of online interactive item types than are in the [Smarter Balanced] assessments.”
