Splashtop Intros Mirroring360 Sender

Splashtop has added the Mirroring360 Sender to its line of screen mirroring and extended display products to support digital content sharing from computers and mobile devices to large TVs and displays.

In mid-2014, the company introduced Mirroring360, which lets people share content from a computer or tablet to a separate display over a Wi-Fi network. With the addition of the Mirroring360 Sender, the platform now supports wireless content sharing from Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows 8 computers, as well as iPads, iPhones, Mac computers, Surface Pro and Android 5 devices. Supported receiving devices include Apple TVs or any computer or device with Mirroring360 receiver software installed, including Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick or the Google Nexus Player.

According to the company, it developed the product with schools in mind, and its Mirroring Assist feature is intended to help IT administrators roll out the product without the need to reconfigure the network or purchase new networking equipment. To prevent problems with device auto-discovery on separate subnets or virtual local area networks (VLANs), or in the case of multiple mirroring receivers on a single subnet, Mirroring Assist lets users connect their sending device to the receiver using either a QR code or Meeting ID.
