Vernier Unveils Sensor Interface for Multiple Devices

Vernier has debuted LabQuest Stream, a sensor interface with wireless and USB connectivity designed for use with multiple devices, including Chromebooks, PCs and mobile devices, in STEM classrooms.

Compatible with more than 50 of the company's sensors, labQuest Stream offers five sensor ports for multi-variable experiments and data-logging tasks, the ability to log up to 10,000 samples per second via wireless and 100,000 per second through USB and a high-capacity battery designed to allow teachers to run multiple experiments in the same day. LabQuest Stream is compatible with Vernier Graphical Analysis, Logger Pro and Logger Lite.

"LabQuest Stream provides teachers an enormous amount of flexibility, offering wireless compatibility via Bluetooth and wired compatibility via USB," said John Wheeler, CEO of Vernier Software & Technology, in a prepared statement. "Technology platforms in the science classroom —  from computers to Chromebooks or tablets —  are rapidly evolving. LabQuest Stream provides educators a versatile option, compatible with a wide range of sensors, all supported by Vernier's unmatched stellar service for education."
