The new Windows 10-based Lenovo 100e
At the Bett 2018 conference this week, Microsoft Education is showing off new Windows 10 notebooks and 2-in-1 devices for K–12 schools that start below $200.
The new lineup includes the $189 Lenovo 100e notebook, built on the Intel Celeron Apollo Lake architecture. Lenovo is also launching a sub-$300, 2-in-1 Windows 10 convertible device for K–12, the 300e. It will sell for $279.
Microsoft partner JP is also launching two Windows 10 devices in a similar price range. The Classmate Leap T303 is an education laptop that runs Windows Hello. It will start at $199, which enables users to log in to their devices using biometrics (such as face or fingerprints). JP is also launching a 2-in-1 Windows 10 device, the Trigono V401, which will sell for $299.
Both devices will be shown off at the Bett 2018 conference, Jan. 24–27, in Microsoft booth E300.
