CoSN Adds 4 New Board Members

CoSN, the Consortium for School Networking, announced its new board of directors Wednesday. The organization, which advocates for technology in education and provides resources for K–12 technology leaders, added four new members, including three district IT leaders and a representative from Amazon Web Services.

The new members include:

  • Diane Doersch, chief technology & information officer for Green Bay Area Public Schools in Wisconsin;
  • Marlo Gaddis, chief technology officer for Wake County Public School System in North Carolina;
  • Kevin Schwartz, CETL, CTO of Austin Independent School District — Technology Department in Texas; and
  • Chad Stevens, strategy lead for K–12 education at Amazon Web Services.

Other board members for the 2019–2020 CoSN board of directors include:

  • Michael Flood, vice president of strategy at Kajeet;
  • Lillian Kellogg, senior vice president at ENA and CatchOn;
  • Steven Langford, CIO at Beaverton School District in Oregon;
  • Melissa Tebbenkamp, director of instructional technology at Raytown Consolidated School District 2 in Missouri;
  • Jean Tower, director of media and digital learning at Needham Public Schools in Massachusetts;
  • Valerie Truesdale, CETL, Assistant Executive Director, AASA The School Superintendents Association;
  • Lisa Spencer, director of technology training at Prince George’s County Public Schools in Maryland (appointed in January).

Officers for the year include:

  • Pete Just (Board Chair), CTO at Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township in Indiana;
  • Keith Bockwoldt (Board Treasurer), CIO at Hinsdale High School District 86 in Illinois;
  • Melissa Dodd (Board Secretary), CTO at San Francisco Unified School District; and
  • Tom Ryan (Past Board Chair), CE at, eLearn Institute.

CoSN’s annual conference is taking place next week (April 1–4) in Portland, OR.
