AAUW Opens 2022 Gender Equity Grant Program

AAUW has opened its 2022 Community Action Grant program, which awards $3,000 to $10,000 to individuals and organizations for programs that promote "education and equity" for women and girls.

Proposals will be judged based on the relevance of the proposed project to AAUW goals; impact of the project (including reaching underserved students and having a long-term impact, among other criteria); feasibility; strength of evaluation and dissemination plans; clarity and creativity; strength of project rationale; overall quality of the proposal; and potential for funding involvement from other groups.

The program opened Aug. 1 and will run through Dec. 1. Applicants will be notified in April 2023, with funding commencing July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.

AAUW did not specify the number of grants that would be awarded n the 2022 program.
