Zenith Enhances Line of Z-STAR Notebooks

Zenith Data Systems announced an addition to its portable product line and enhancements to the popular Z-STAR EX notebook PC. Sporting a streamlined design, the newest Z-STAR integrates a built-in AC adapter, removable NiCad battery and swappable floppy disk drive, reducing the pieces and pounds that need to be carried. Pricing for standard configurations ranges from $1,299 for a monochrome version to $1,799 for the DSTN color system. Plus, ZDS is now shipping enhanced models of the Z-STAR EX with a larger 10.4" DSTN display panel for the same price as previous models. Other highlights are an upgraded processor (Intel DX4/75) and expanded hard drives (250-520MB).
