Children's Author Forms Literacy Network
Jean Chalopin, creator of numerous stories and television shows for
children, including "Inspector Gadget," has formed The StoryPlus Network, a group of companies established to promote literacy among children worldwide. The network includes StoryPlus.com, Scribum and StoryClass.
StoryPlus.com forms the center of the StoryPlus Network, using advanced technology to create an engaging and safe reading environment on the Internet for young children and parents to use at home or at school. The site was developed under a prestigious group of educators and childcare specialists. It offers an extensive library of original stories for children ages 2 and up, along with a comprehensive selection of unique reading-based curriculum programs expressly for teachers.
Scribum is the publishing arm of the network, providing a home for active writers, story editors and illustrators from around the world seeking to further their careers in children's literature. After a careful selection process, accepted applicants are invited to submit their works for review by the StoryPlus editorial team. Approved stories are assigned an editor and illustrator for publishing on StoryPlus.com with the potential of traditional publishing in the future.
