Educational Division

New England Data Services (NEDS) has announced a new Educational Division and unveiled a “pest free” technology to keep K-12 school networks free of ever-invasive spyware. The comprehensive, customized “pest free” solution evaluates the specific needs of each school system and tailors a plan to meet every school’s individual requirements. NEDS (www.neds.com) supplies an in-field device to monitor and filter malicious programs, providing redundant remote access to minimize on-site service calls while avoiding labor-intensive reloading of the system. The services cover six component areas, including security, e-mail services, 24/7 monitoring, backup and storage, collocation and WAN solutions. Firewall management services are also included.
