AEL, ITEG Enhance K12 TCO Calculator

The Appalachia Educational Laboratory (AEL), in conjunction with the Integrated Technology Education Group (ITEG), has announced an enhanced version (v2.0) of its popular online K12 TCO Calculator (www.iaete.org/tco), which is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The free upgraded TCO (total cost of ownership) Calculator helps K-12 school leaders estimate the multiyear costs of implementing and maintaining technology systems by creating charts and tables that display projected major expenses, comprehensive cost summaries, and price projections for hardware and software purchases. Recent enhancements include the ability to generate a summary report for all schools in a district, increased flexibility for inputting hardware prices, and updated professional development criteria as recommended by NCLB.
