PLATO Life Science courseware is designed to help middle school students better visualize science concepts. Each of the program's seven units focuses on a specific set of science objectives using audio-narrated multimedia. The lessons include read-along text, a glossary, a scientific calculator and unit converter, and Teachlink — a feature that allows teachers to add their own documents or Web links into lessons. In addition, a sophisticated test bank links questions to specific standards-based objectives and presents these questions in a standardized test format.
