ELMO IS SHIPPING the P100, a new high-end document camera. It offers SXGA (1280 x 1024) native resolution and supports HDTV output with progressive scan (720p). It’s designed to display live images of documents placed on the unit’s flatbed. (A built-in LCD display helps with positioning.) But the camera also includes a card slot for presenting stored images, as well as a USB connector for displaying images from a computer. Other features include 16x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom, a lens designed to minimize distortion, and a “clear-text” mode for optimizing black-and-white contrast for displaying text only. Price:$3,850.
