SchoolNet Launches Education Blog

Internet software developer SchoolNet has launched a new blog to support the EduStat Summit, an education conference that SchoolNet is co-hosting with the Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York.

The theme of the upcoming conference (June 6 through 8) is "Teacher 2.0: Developing the 21st Century Workforce." The blog is being used to explore the theme, with contributing bloggers posting articles and soliciting comments on topics ranging from teacher quality and compensation to technology in education.

Some of the contributors to the blog include: Alexander Russo of Education Week, Dana Huff of Huffenglish.com, and Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach of the College of William and Mary, among many others.
