Agency Helps Districts Develop Ed-Tech Plans

The Center for Educational Leadership (CELT), a non-profit educational research and service agency, offers a nationally validated program to assist school districts in developing a comprehensive technology plan. Systemic Technology Planning in Support of Education Reform (STPSER) comprises a full training program and an Electronic Planning Workbook containing planning strategies and templates. The U.S. Dept. of Education's National Diffusion Network (NDN) validated STPSER as an exemplary program after studying results from sites that have implemented it. The seven-phase program has been adopted by over 500 public school districts and 10 state departments of education nationwide. Training sessions, held four to six weeks apart, lead participants through all stages of the planning process and familiarize them with the tools and templates provided.
