Bentley Announces Contest And Academic SW Pack

The fourth annual MicroStation Student Design Competition, sponsored by the Bentley Academic Program, is open to high school and college students. This year's theme is "Green Design: A Quest for Environmental Solutions." Students will submit CAD-based designs during the school year in various engineering and design fields. A group of industry advisors and university professors, experts in engineering and design, will judge the competition. Prizes include an Apple Power Mac, MicroStation CAD software and various cash awards. Entries must be created on MicroStation, which is compatible with Power Mac, Windows, Windows NT, DOS, UNIX and soon, Windows 95. Designs may include work performed while enrolled in any degree granting program at an accredited school in North America since January 1, 1995. All entries must be submitted by April 3, 1996. Bentley Systems also announces a special MicroStation Academic Suite available to students and instructors for a list price of $190. The suite contains MicroStation V5, MicroStation Modeler, MicroStation Masterpiece and MicroStation PowerDraft. The tools are full-function, unrestricted products valued at over $9,000 and are supported by Bentley. Versions are now available for MS-DOS, Windows, Windows NT, Mac and Power Mac computers.
