WAN Router Boasts Reliability & More

The Advanced ExpressRouter features three integrated T1/Frac-tional T1 DSU/CSUs.

The unit is a multi-protocol Ethernet branch office/Internet access router capable of simultaneously supporting three full-duplex WAN interfaces at E1 clocking rates (2.048 Mbps). Essentially, it delivers a complete T1 WAN hub solution in a modem-sized box.

Two models are available. The ExpressRouter routes TCP/IP, IPX and AppleTalk, making it suited for educationís multi-platform nature. The Advanced IPExpress routes only TCP/IP. Both have auto-sensing 10BaseT and Thinnet Ethernet interfaces, and support Frame Relay, PPP, SNMP and Telnet. EngageView management software for Windows 3.1/95 and the Mac OS are included.

Reliability ratings for the new routers are so high that the manufacturer backs them with free technical support. Engage Communications, Inc., Aptos, CA, (408) 688-1021, www.engage.com.
