Media Retrieval Made More Convinient

Version 3.0 of TECH Electronic's Educator Media Retrieval System is now available. System 3.0 enhancements include more intuitive control over the TV in the classroom from the media center. At a scheduled time, the classroom TV is turned on and tuned to the appropriate channel, then control is turned over to the teacher. In the event of an emergency or special announcement, all classroom TVs can be automatically turned on and tuned in to the broadcast.
The Educator Media Retrieval System works like a private cable system within the school. Media devices such as VCRs, videodisc players, and CD-i players are stored in a central location, like the media center or library. Teachers simply request a title and access to the appropriate device at a given time. They then have full control over the media device via a software interface and remote control. Cable, satellite and remote video broadcasts can all be used in conjunction with pre-recorded materials. TECH Electronics, Inc., Norcross, GA, (800) 572-4935.
