Microsoft Keeps Commitment to Teachers Using Technology
"Microsoft believes that the single most important use of information technology is to improve education," said Bob Herbold, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Microsoft, on the occasion of the announcement of Microsoft's Classroom Teacher Network (CTN), scheduled to go live October 1st, 1999.
CTN gives education professionals access to a wealth of free professional development tools and opportunities. Teachers can find software tutorials, share lesson plans, participate in online seminars, find links to Web resources and participate in discussions.
