Cabling System Warranty Extends to a Lifetime

Leviton Telcom has extended its lifetime warranty on horizontal structured cabling systems to include the backbone portion of copper and fiber media in buildings. The Backbone Extended Product Warranty applies in certified installations of all four Leviton cabling systems: Power Sum (Category 5), GigaMax (Category 5e) or eXtreme (proposed Cat 6) for high-performance copper; and the Opt-X Fiber Cabling System for optical fiber.

The Certified installation program extends Leviton's standard one-year product warranty to a lifetime warranty. It covers parts and performance of the entire cabling system, including the cable and connectivity hardware from workstation outlets to backbone risers. The warranted system will support and conform to all applicable TIA/EIA-568-A specifications covering any current or future application for which it is designed and installed.

To qualify for the warranty, the cabling system must be pre-registered and installed by a Leviton-certified installer, using approved cable and components from the Power Sum, GigaMax, eXtreme orOpt-X cabling systems. Leviton Telcom, Bothell, WA, (800) 992-6229, www.leviton.com.
