Homeingle Matches Volunteers and Opportunities

New social network Homemingle.com allows schools and students, among other types of users, to post volunteer needs and find volunteer opportunities.

"Homeingle takes the social features of networks like Facebook and turns them into tools for organizations," said CEO Bob Armbrister. "Homeingle helps organizations achieve their goals by allowing them to create groups, manage events, post news, communicate with members, expand their online visibility, and get things done."

The company said its site allows students to search their area for volunteer opportunities and stay in touch with their community. A school organization can post its needs that can be answered by others.

Functionality includes the ability for a group to create a profile, then communicate with members, list group needs and goals, recruit volunteers, import a contact list and invite via email, recruit new members, and post news articles to promote its mission.
