Education technology developer Calypso Systems has opened up applications for its 21st Century Classroom grant program for 2010, the Integrated Classroom Grant.
The Integrated Classroom Grant, administered through the Calypso School First Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Calypso Systems, is designed to provide resources to support 21st century learning and access to tools to create 21st century learning experiences.
"The Integrated Classroom Grant provides a significant opportunity for schools to integrate technology into all aspects of the curriculum and alleviate administrator's hesitation to take on the risk of full deployment as they test and experiment with the technology first," said David H. Parish, president of Calypso Systems, in a prepared statement. "In this competitive market, current and future customers look to us for solid control and support with multimedia technology solutions for K-12 classrooms. The Integrated Classroom Grant provides expanded capabilities by providing schools value-added services to support 21st Century Classrooms."
Specifically, grant recipients receive an ezRoom Classroom Bundle, which consists of a variety of AV equipment, including a networked controller with touch screen, 32-watt classroom amplifier, wire and power adapter, wall plate, desktop control software, monitoring and control software, an equipment box, a projector mount, and speakers. Two K-12 grants will be awarded per month.
