Brief: Orchard 4.5 Expands OS Support

Ed tech developer Orchard Software has released Orchard 4.5, an update to the company's tool for differentiated instruction, student assessment, and data management.

Orchard is a school improvement suite that provides individualized instruction, formative and summative assessments, and reporting and analytics capabilities for tracking student achievement. It's targeted toward core academic subjects, including math, English, and science for K-9 students, incorporating more than 5,000 lessons in more than 160 instructional modules.

The new 4.5 release adds support for Mac OS X 10.6 and WIndows 7. It's also designed to simplify the process of deploying software updates throughout the district to help make it easier to track high-mobility students. And it includes enhancements to allow administrators to import student, teacher, and class data from existing student information systems.

Orchard 4.5 is available now for Mac OS X and Windows. Additional details can be found here.
