Promethean Unveils 6-Touch Whiteboard

Promethean has released a new interactive whiteboard with support for up to six simultaneous touches in an effort to improve classroom activities.

The ActivBoard Touch comes in 78- and  88-inch surface sizes, as well as a dry-erase version, features interaction via gestures such as swipe and pinch similar to cell phones to make them easier to use right away, and are compatible with Windows, OSX and Linux operating systems.
Promethean's new ActivBoard Touch supports up to six simultaneous touches.

"Twenty-first century educators are shifting students' learning experience beyond simple knowledge transfer and memorization, instead emphasizing the development of collaborative problem solving skills," said Scott Cary, chief marketing and products officer at Promethean, in a prepared statement. "By evolving digital surfaces in the classroom to better facilitate group learning through multi-touch capability, we can support teachers and help cultivate active, motivated learners."
