Digital badge company Credly is partnering with Pathbrite, in a move that will let users add their Credly achievements to their digital portfolios.

The partnership adds Credly badges, which can be created or customized and doled out to students by school districts, colleges, and companies like Adobe, who use the service to credential skilled users of its programs, like Photoshop. Badges are also compatible with most LMS providers and other sites thanks to an available API.

Digital portfolios are often used by instructors as part of evidence- and competency-based education models. Students use them to show learning and mastery in individual courses, as well as in college and career applications.
