New Version Secures Classroom, Lab PCs

SmartStuff Software has released a Windows/DOS version of its leading Macintosh security product: FoolProof Security. It completely protects the school computer, allowing teachers to control access to the hard disk, Windows, file directories and applications. Developed by educators, the software maintains the original appearance and function of the Windows/DOS desktop. Administrators may configure security options to reflect the unique needs of labs, classrooms and libraries. The new version is compatible with Windows 3.1 or later, Windows 95 and DOS 5.0 or later. Lab packs and site licenses are available; district licenses start at $20 per computer. A free evaluation copy of FoolProof Security is available. SmartStuff Software, Portland, OR, (800) 671-3999.
