Photo ID Card Printer Makes "Smart" Cards

Persona II is the latest addition to Fargo"s Persona line of color photo ID card printers.

Persona II utilizes dye–;sublimation technology to print directly onto blank PVC or polyester cards in about one minute each. It applies clear or holographic–;type overlay films or polyester chips, delivering highly secure and tamper–;resistant photo ID cards. A built–;in card flipper allows printing on the reverse side of cards.

Options include a magnetic stripe encoder as well as a "smart card" encoder. Fargo"s CardMaker Software for Windows is included.

Fargo also offers the Persona ID Card System kit, which includes a Persona or PersonaPlus ID card printer; Sony Hi8 CCD HandyCam; 486/DX2–;66 MHz IBM–;PC with monitor; Windows 3.1 and CardMaker for Windows; SVGA card with 1MB RAM; Video Vue Capture Board; and all necessary cables and instructions.
