Spreadsheet SW Aids Intuitive Solutions

Go Figure: The Problem- Solving Toolkit is an innovative way to use a computer to find accurate answers to mathematical questions &emdash; quickly and easily.

Called an "intuitive spreadsheet alternative," the program works out numerical answers to mathematical problems with just a few mouse clicks.

There are no cells or rigid structures or strict formatting rules as in other spreadsheets. Simply input the pieces of a problem anywhere on Go Figure's "electronic paper," connect them, and let the program find the solution using its encyclopedia of 12,000 formula entries.

The program also lets users plug new numbers anywhere in the problem and recalculates the results instantly, tying the problem together intuitively. Villa Crespo Software, Inc., Highland Park, IL, (800) 521-3963.
