Kids Learn WP, Drawing And Painting Skills

PerfectWorks for Kids is a visual learning environment for children ages 4-10 that encourages communication, exploration and creativity.

The program offers creative word processing, drawing and painting tools and supports Windows 95 fax and e-mail capabilities. It also includes integration with America Online (AOL), providing kids with one-click access to the Kids Only section of AOL.

Featured is a fully-rendered, 3D interface called the Creativity Workshop. Kids explore for various wacky characters and click on talking hotspots to start activities like an ABC book, calendars, letters, reports, signs, cards, address book and others.

Included are 880 colorful graphics from 26 different categories. Kids can manipulate them in a variety of ways including sizing characters, rotation and reverse-angle viewing. The program supports color printing and incorporates a parent setup menu that allows parents to customize activities for all age and ability levels.

PerfectWorks for Kids has a talking interface that gives feedback and guidance for young kids who can't read, getting them started early with writing and creativity. And for security, an optional "Kid Mode" prevents kids from switching to the desktop or accidentally tampering with files. Novell, Inc., Provo, UT, (800) 453-1267. W
