U.K. Libraries Access New Pub. Resources

The Combined Higher Education Software Team (CHEST) in the UK is offering its member libraries electronic access to full-text versions of over 1,000 publications via EBSCO Publishing's MasterFILE FullText and World Magazine Bank databases.

MasterFILE FullText features indexing and abstracts for over 2,600 general interest, academic, business, health, women's and multi-cultural journals as well as the full text for 1,000 titles.

World Magazine Bank is tailored to the international library and contains indexing and abstracts for over 400 international publications plus the full text of approximately 125.

Both databases will be available on the NISS (the UK higher education sector's national information service) Information Gateway and will be keyword searchable. The NISS service will offer users a selection of searching and downloading options using Web technology. EBSCO Publishing, Peabody, MA, (800) 653-2726, www.epnet.com.
