Kits Help Schools Integrate Technology

Integrating technology into a school's curriculum is made easier with TechWorks, a complete program that gives grade-by-grade guidelines on instructing students in current technology. TechWorks includes a detailed lesson plan for every objective in the scope and sequence, while management strategies help teachers get the big picture. A video for teacher training is included, answering FAQs and showing peers using the lessons in their classrooms. Fourteen technological concepts are covered: general technological awareness, keyboarding, network awareness, graphics, word processing, desktop publishing, databases, information systems, Internet/telecommunications, spreadsheets, programming, multimedia, video and electronic presentations. The program sells as grade-specific kits, or in the following combinations: K-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8. Teacher Created Materials, Inc., Huntington Beach, CA, (800) 858-7339.
