New Anatomy CD Boasts Major Enhancements

A.D.A.M. Interactive Anatomy, the new "flagship" anatomy product from A.D.A.M., succeeds both A.D.A.M. Comprehensive and A.D.A.M. Standard, and features many new enhancements recommended by educators, authors, health professionals and students worldwide.

It boasts more powerful tools and search capabilities, and offers users easier access than ever to over 20,000 anatomical structures in six different views. In addition to its core digital medical illustrations, there are 3D models based on the Visible Human data set, cadaver images from the Bassett collection, and auxiliary pinned anatomical images.

A new feature called Slide Show lets one construct on-screen presentations with annotated text linked to anatomical views, retaining the full capabilities of the program while making presentations. And, since Slide Show files are easily imported and take up little physical memory, presentations can be easily shared over the Internet or handed out to students and peers. Other enhancements include the capability to open multiple windows containing different views; speed increases of up to 200% over A.D.A.M. Comprehensive; changes to tool palettes; and more. A.D.A.M.
