Berk-Tek has enhanced the performance of its GIGAlite optical fiber solutions, whenused with vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSEL). GIGAlite opticalfiber solutions are engineered for users who demand high-speed performance intheir horizontal and backbone fiber optic structured cabling systems.Specifically designed for use with VCSELs, this solution is guaranteed to havefiber performance beyond the IEEE and ATM Forum distance limitations for thestandard multimode fiber optic cable. It supports Gigabit Ethernet, Gigabit ATMand 622 Mbit/s ATM at both operating windows (850 and 1,300 nm) and atdistances of up to 600 meters and beyond.
GIGAlite fiber solutions are available across the company’sentire fiber optic cable line, including the Adventum loose tube designs.
