Words Come to Life for Beginning Readers
DK Interactive Learning has released an updated version of Word Explorer Deluxe, an award-winningtitle that offers children ages five to eight an introduction to readingcomprehension. The updated versioncontains three new activities, and comes with a free copy of a softwareprogram called My First Amazing Diary,which promotes early writing skills.
Word Explorer Deluxe uses interactive word games withsounds, narrations, and lively animations to teach students new words and theirmeanings. The program includes four games with three difficulty levels, makingit appropriate for different stages of reading comprehension. The CD-ROM guidesstudents through 1,000 first words, each with its own colorful screen and acorresponding illustration.
