Wireless LAN Solution

Raylink's new Wireless Networking Solution, developed in conjunction with Raytheon RF Networking, is comprised of the Raylink Access Point and two Raylink PC Cards (standard and modified), as well as a trio of adapters for ISA, PCI and USB connectivity. It is a premium wireless LAN solution based on frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology. The products offer impressive range, with network connectivity of up to 1,000 feet.

The Raylink Access Point is a device that takes in Ethernet information on one side and translates it into wireless information, which can be broadcast to any computer equipped with a Raylink PC Card. Each Access Point supports a network of up to 61 users. The PC Card is a wireless radio transceiver designed to fit into the PCMCIA slot in a laptop computer. It is capable of sending and receiving information at frequencies from 2.400 to 2.4835 GHz. Suited as a complementary solution to wired LAN infrastructures, the company's wireless products and solutions target a wide range of wireless LAN applications.
