Students may access information on high-school course recommendations, undergraduate core courses, advanced study, internship and research opportunities, graduate admission and funding information. The content of the site was developed over two years of research involving more than 400 undergraduate and graduate students. This effort produced detailed descriptions of various fields of study, academic degree requirements, related career paths and perspectives from students currently in the field.
Designed to assist physical educators in acquiring cutting edge heart rate monitor technology for schools, TECH4PE provides a wealth of information, direction, and advice for securing educational grants for this purpose. The site also provides expert recommendations on effective application programs as well as information on the latest heart rate monitors created specifically for school-age children by Acumen. In conjunction with the launch of the Web site, Acumen will award 200 heart rate monitors to randomly selected schools that register on the site prior to March 1, 2001.
This site offers tools and information to simplify the process of college preparation, evaluation, selection, application and financing. Advice on paying for college, financial aid, college costs and savings plans is presented. A scholarship search connects users to more than 600,000 sources of financial aid.
