Discovery, Yale Provide Medical Info Online and On-Air

The Discovery Health Channel is tapping the expertise of Yale University's staff for research and other assistance in producing four, one-hour programs relating to adult and children's health over the next two years. The partnership calls on Yale faculty to contribute regularly to discoveryhealth.com's Family Matters, Cutting Edge Medicine and The Views on Health News, located under the Expert Opinion tab on the Web site. Family Matters is a biweekly column from experts at the Yale Child Study Center. It covers parenting and child development issues, such as planning for a baby, preparing for parenthood, advances in early brain development, aggression in toddlers, adolescence, cliques and gangs, dating and more. In the monthly column Cutting Edge Medicine, Yale experts will discuss new medical technology, breakthroughs and emerging advanced treatments. Also biweekly, The Views on Health News column features an interview with a Yale expert about an issue or controversy in health care.
