Tivola Publishing Offerings

Tivola Publishing has two new science offerings. Bioscopia is the sequel to Physicus, a game that challenges players to use scientific principles to save an elaborate fantasy world. In Bioscopia, players find themselves trapped in an abandoned biological research station as a young scientist accidentally awakens the laboratory's long-dormant robots, which begin pumping poisonous gas throughout the lab. The players' job is to use their knowledge of human biology, cell biology, genetics, botany and zoology to solve puzzles that unlock doors to find and save the imprisoned researcher. The CD-ROM is meant for students over the age of 10, whose deductive ability, inquiring mind and skill are used to learn as they play, making biology the adventure.

Tivola also offers its latest Quest for Knowledge series game, Answer This: Whales and Dolphins!, which is packed with more than 600 questions and loaded with fun facts. The new adventure is geared for students 8 and older, and promotes biology and oceanography skills, as well as quick and logical thinking. With three levels of difficulty, an Internet challenge, and a whales and dolphins "fish-tionary" to teach kids anything they'll need to know, this quiz-show trivia game is a challenge for students of all levels. The CD-ROM includes captivating graphics, puzzles and games to keep students interested. In addition, players can compete against the clock, other students or Internet high-score postings.
