Macromedia Provides Site Licensing Web Solutions for Schools

Macromedia Inc.'s new site licensing program lets K-12 schools purchase Macromedia Studio MX for schoolwide use. Studio MX includes the Macromedia MX product family of Dream-weaver MX, Flash MX, Fireworks MX, FreeHand 10 and a developer edition of ColdFusion MX. This new K-12 site license gives schools access to teaching curriculum and teacher training with the freedom to use Studio MX throughout a school for $2,000 for up to 500 students or $3,000 for K-12 schools with more than 500 students.

Macromedia Studio MX is a new integrated family of client, tool and server technologies for creating rich Internet applications that promise more intuitive, responsive and effective user experiences across platforms and devices. The site licensing solution lets educators and students create everything from HTML Web sites to rich Internet applications. The site license includes sample curriculum to help teachers instantly start teaching Web design courses or integrate Web projects into academic courses.
