WGU Launches Online Teachers College

U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige and Utah Gov. Michael Leavitt have launched the Teachers College of Western Governors University (WGU), which offers online competency-based bachelor's and master's degrees, as well as licenses for current and future teachers. WGU created the college through a $10 million Star Schools grant from the U.S. Education Department with additional funding provided by foundations and corporate partners.
