FYI - Veterans History Project
On Memorial Day, The Library of Congress' Veterans History Project at the American Folklife Center officially went online at www.loc.gov/vets. This collection of oral histories and documentary materials from American war veterans includes personal accounts from World War I and World War II, as well as the Korean, Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars. The project not only gives veterans the opportunity to speak about their experiences, it also provides students and teachers with a firsthand glimpse at the realities of war.
