DirecTV, Thomson to Donate 5,000 Satellite Systems

DirecTV Inc. and Thomson, maker of RCA-brand products, have launched a campaign under the "DirecTV G'es to School" program that will donate 5,000 DirecTV systems and the DirecTV School Choice package of educational channels to qualified U.S. schools. The campaign will provide qualified K-12 schools nationwide with an RCA-brand DirecTV Multi-Satellite System, as well as free access to an extensive array of more than 70 TV channels with educational programming through the DirecTV School Choice package. Among the channels included in the package are The Biography Channel, CNN, Discovery Channel, The History Channel, TLC, National Geographic Channel, PBS, TechTV and NASA TV, which is exclusive to DirecTV customers.
