Epson America Inc.

Epson America Inc. (www.epson.com) is introducing two new 6.4 lb. portable multimedia projectors with 2,000 ANSI lumens, user-friendly features and a 500:1 contrast ratio. The new Epson PowerLite 54c and PowerLite 74c are designed to give today's mobile educators a high level of image quality and versatility while remaining attractive to tight budgets. The PowerLite 54c offers native SVGA resolution, while the PowerLite 74c offers native XGA resolution. Epson has also added a new feature called Blackboard mode for the education market, which automatically compensates the projector's color output, allowing for bright, usable images projected on a dark surface such as a chalkboard. For added convenience, a monitor-out feature enables classroom presenters to view content on the projector from a separate display device. The Epson projectors support multiple video signals and offer two PC inputs that enable presenters to switch between a second computer or additional presentation devices. The projectors also come with three password-protected features to reduce chances of theft and disable operation to unauthorized users.
